Carter Looney is a hands-on manager with more than 20 years' experience creating value in mid-sized companies. Being at home both in the US and in Germany, he has a unique skill-set that helps PE investors on both sides of the Atlantic better understand their portfolio companies and maximize the value of their international investments. Since making a successful exit from an MBI in 2010, he has concentrated on using his know how and extensive international network to help companies increase their value and find an investor/successor. His specific focus is on Turnaround Management and Special Situations M&A.
With more than 15 years practical experience in business advisory and interim management, Alexander works with family owned and corporate clients to transform their businesses, often taking the role of Program Manager and implementing our recommendations.
Alexander has an degree in Computer Science and an MBA in General Management from the European Business School (EBS) in cooperation with the University of Durham in UK. After working in a management role, he co-led an MBO of a mid-sized IT consulting firm, turned it around and grew it into a group with 200+ employees, profitably leading it as a member of the executive team. After selling the company to an international group, he remained on as CEO of the German subsidiary and managed the transition into the new group.
Alexander has a particular focus on creating and leading business transformation programs in midsize to large businesses. He is particularly adept at working with executive management to ensure strategic programs are set up and implemented effectively. His management of change competency and his track record of successful transformation projects make sure that his customers reach their goals on time and in budget.
